the 2017 BFF SUMMIT PRIZE
The BFF Summit Prize was created to identify and finance an original work by a person of color to broaden the creative palate for a more racially inclusive motion picture and television industry. In the spirit of self-reliance, the BFF SUMMIT PRIZE is underwritten by the financial pledges of BFF Summit attendees. In its inaugural year, the BFF SUMMIT PRIZE competition was able to provide a $28K fund for the winner, “Whose Streets” by Sabaah Folayan. “Whose Streets” was screened at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and every BFF Summit attendee contributor was acknowledged in the end credits along with the BFF Summit.
